In today's mail I received not one, but two envelopes from J.Crew. I knew the Rewards Cards were on the way - I'd noticed my points balance fall sharply about a week ago on my credit card statement so I figured it'd be mailed out around the time the new spring line hit stores. Also included with the Rewards Card is a small booklet of Spring 2011 looks (I can safely assume everyone has seen all of these images by now). But the other I wasn't expecting. It arrived in a nondescript white envelope – the type that usually contains tax statements. But instead of a bill inside was a brownish piece of cardstock with a white credit-card-like piece of plastic attached. What is it, you ask? Why it's a "VIP" number, of course!
I'd received one of these last year - or was it the year before? I can't remember. I don't recall ever making use of it - and I'm curious to know if all of those receiving the card got the same exact 800 number. Hard to tell. Still, it's the sentiment that counts right?
Here's what it says:

Oh you lucky gal! A rewards card AND a special 800 number! I've been signing up for emails for the last year and a half and NADA, ZILCH, NOTHING. I rely on Alexis' blog for news, discounts/promos and everything else. I count myself lucky that I'm still receiving the catalog. Enjoy your goodies :)
I got the 800 number card today (it is the same number as last time -- still had it in my phone). No lookbook for me though, which I am a bit bummed over.
got the "special number" card the other day, which was kind of a surprise, since most of my recent JC activity has been returns, including FS items that were not the sizes I had ordered. I'm due a reward according to my statement, but that hasn't arrived yet. Oh, well.
