And, just because I feel the need to pat myself on the back for actually taking part in a trend while it's actually happening, I wanted to share this little Kate Spade beauty that I picked up from Gilt back in December. I was a bit disheartened after our trip to New York last month, considering this was supposed to be THE color. And I saw all of no one - not a single person - carrying a handbag of a similar shade. I was quite convinced the curse of anything-popular-in-Ohio-was-popular-everywhere-else-two-years-ago had struck again. But now that I know it's the shade of the new year that just means I was ahead of the game, right? Right?

Oh how I'd love to get the jacket but since I never wore my JCrew 'flame' colored jacket, I doubt I would be brave enough to wear this one. Maybe it's tamer in real life?? JCrew has usually had some sort of vibrant orange in their offerings, right? I have at least two perfect fit tee's, and of course the candy tee.
I adore this shade of orange and it will be perfect into spring and summer for fashion as well as design. Love the bag!

I just got a pair of orange skimmers! I never thought I'd wear orange in my life! How would you pair the orange pants? I'm thinking a more subdued navy or grey top? I want to avoid black lest I wish to look halloween-y
